The Holiday Season, the Moments That Matter

The Holiday Season, the Moments That Matter

| December 21, 2025

The holidays have a way of slowing us down just enough to notice the details we often rush past the rest of the year — the smell of cookies in the oven, a child’s eyes lighting up with Christmas wonder, the familiar warmth of family traditions. These small moments don’t look extraordinary on the outside, yet they’re the ones that stay with us. They’re the ones we end up talking about years later.

As I baked cookies with my family this season, I found myself thinking about how these moments of connection are really the heartbeat of life. They’re simple, joyful, and completely ordinary — which is exactly what makes them precious.

And it reminded me of something important:
the moments that matter most often happen when we’re not worried about anything else.

This is where thoughtful financial planning quietly plays its role.

Good planning isn’t really about charts, projections, or account balances (though those certainly matter).
It’s about creating the kind of confidence that frees people to be present — to say yes to spontaneous ice-cream outings with a grandchild, to book the trip they’ve dreamed about, to host the holiday dinner without second-guessing the cost, the simple traditions you want to keep alive, and the opportunity to bless someone when you feel that gentle prompting on your heart.

For retirees and those nearing retirement, this confidence becomes even more meaningful. Life shifts. Priorities change. The value of certainty, security, and clarity becomes deeply personal.

Financial planning matters because it supports these moments — the ones you want to enjoy now and the ones you want to create for those you love in the future. It transforms “I hope I can” into “I know I can.”
It makes room for joy.

As we move through this holiday season, my hope is that you experience moments that are calm, connected, and meaningful — surrounded by the people who matter most, with a sense of confidence that allows you to truly enjoy them.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family.

Warmly,
Michelle
