FAQ
T2 Financial – Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome! If you’re exploring financial planning or investment management, you probably have questions. Here’s a clear, conversational guide to the things people ask me most often. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, we are always happy to help—just reach out anytime.
Working With T2 Financial
Why should I consider working with T2 Financial?
If you want a long-term partner who helps you set meaningful goals and create a realistic plan to reach them, you’re in the right place.
I don’t chase trends or try to “beat the market.” Instead, I focus on what you can control—your goals, your timeline, and an investment strategy built with discipline and intention.
Who typically benefits from working with you?
I support two main groups:
Pre-retirees who want clarity, structure, and confidence as they move toward retirement.
Millennials who want to build strong financial habits early and avoid costly mistakes.
If you’re planning for retirement, saving for major milestones, or simply want to feel more confident about your money, I can help. I offer a complimentary introductory call and first meeting so we can determine whether partnering together is a good fit.
How do you charge for your services?
Most clients pay a transparent asset-based advisory fee, billed quarterly.
Financial planning is offered as a separate service with its own fee, which may be reduced—or even waived—depending on your situation.
Who supervises you as a solo advisor?
I’m fully registered through LPL Financial, a leading independent broker-dealer.
They oversee my licensing, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Your investments are always held with an independent custodian—never in my name.
Are you a fiduciary?
Yes. As an Investment Adviser Representative, I’m legally required to act in your best interest. We’ll talk through what fiduciary care looks like during your introductory meeting.
What credentials and experience do you have?
I bring more than 12 years of experience in financial services, supported by:
Series 7 & 66 securities licenses
Insurance licenses (life, disability, long-term care)
AAMS® – Accredited Asset Management Specialist
CRPC® – Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor
These designations give me deep experience in investment planning, tax-smart strategies, retirement income planning, and helping clients transition confidently into retirement.
Financial Planning & Investments
What services do you offer?
I provide ongoing investment management and comprehensive financial planning, including:
Retirement planning
Tax strategies and coordination
Goal tracking
Insurance reviews
Collaboration with CPAs and attorneys
Portfolio design and monitoring
What’s your investment philosophy?
My approach is grounded in long-term, evidence-based investing:
Evidence over emotion: Decisions are driven by research, not headlines.
Diversification: Risk is spread across thousands of companies globally.
Low cost: I use institutional-class mutual funds and ETFs when appropriate.
Tax efficiency: Strategies like tax-loss harvesting and asset location help keep more of your returns.
Discipline: Portfolios are rebalanced systematically—not based on fear or market noise.
(Diversification does not guarantee profit or protect against loss.)
How do I know if I’m ready to retire?
We look beyond a single number. I review your savings, income sources, healthcare costs, and lifestyle goals. I can also stress test your plan to see how it holds up under real-life curveballs—market swings, inflation changes, unexpected expenses, and more.
Do you work with clients outside New England?
Absolutely. I work with clients in 15+ states, staying connected through secure video calls, email, phone, and the LPL Account View® portal.
Accounts & Security
How do I add or withdraw money from my account?
When we open your account, we set up a secure ACH link to your bank. From there, you can move money through:
A verbal request to my office (verbal authorization required)
LPL Account View®, where you can make mobile deposits and initiate transfers
How do you protect my information?
Security is a top priority. I use encrypted communication tools, two-factor authentication, and a secure document vault to protect your personal and financial information.
